Why Therapy, Why now?

In life there comes a point where we find ourselves with more questions than answers.  There are the big questions, 'what is the meaning of life?' 'or Why am I here?' . You may find yourself wrestling with a question of direction  'where do I go from here?' . Perhaps you are stuck with '...and what now?'.  There are times when we face difficulties in life which can distress and overwhelm us. In times like these, it is helpful to sit with a professional to make meaning of and process painful life experiences.

I have worked with Children, young people, and adults for over 12 years. Presenting issues include (but are not limited to) loss and grief, anxiety, depression, relationship & family breakdown, self-harm, abuse, poor self-esteem, trauma, including developmental trauma, identity issues, attachment difficulties, and work-related stress.

Therapy can help you to find your answer to life's questions. You may not have a question, but you may find that you need to talk to someone in confidence about your life experiences and journey. Therapy offers a safe space where you can begin to explore who you are, what is important to you, and what comes next.  Therapy provides you with a confidential opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings in safety, to  learn, heal, and grow.  My role is to help you through this process, without judgement, or telling you what to do.

Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.
